Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Texarkana Black Mambas Track club was founded in 2020 under the direction and leadership of Henry Black. Texarkana Black Mambas Track Club is focused on the “whole child”, both physical and emotional. Studies have shown that participation in organized youth sports/exercise promotes improved physical health, helps to maintain a healthy body weight, improves sleep quality, improved memory, better decision making, improved mood, lower risk for depression, increased coping skills, and increases the capacity to learn. As these athletes learn the basic and advanced principles of sprints, long distance, relays, shot put, and javelin we hope to promote a lifetime love for running and promote physical health and well-being.
Strive to be better
We teach our kids to run toward competition and not to shy away from it. Our kids face other children from around the United States who we know are faster and more advanced, but that doesn’t stop us from teaching our kids to be competitive in everything they do. TBM knows that children will have to compete for the rest of their lives in high school, college, and on the job. We are teaching our children how to succeed in life using track, and eventually, our children will compete on a national stage for sports and life and win.
